Speech & Toast Writer
Say it rightwhen it counts.
Toast helps you write, time, and rehearse the speech — wedding, birthday, retirement, roast, whatever the occasion — so you’re looking at the room instead of a page of notes when it’s your turn to stand up.

What it does
Everything you need, nothing you don’t
Built to disappear into the moment it’s helping with.
- 01
Occasion templates
Wedding, birthday, retirement, memorial, roast, and more — each with its own structural nudges for what a speech like this usually needs.
- 02
Word count → spoken time
Watch your draft’s estimated speaking time update as you write, so you know if you’re running long before you’re standing up.
- 03
Teleprompter rehearsal
A full-screen, mirrored, auto-scrolling teleprompter you can drag to adjust pace mid-rehearsal.
- 04
The take timer
Log every rehearsal’s actual time, so your pace estimate gets more accurate the more you practice.
- 05
Tighten to Time
On iPhones with Apple Intelligence, trim a draft to fit your slot without losing the stories that matter — every cut shown before you accept it.
- 06
A cue-card PDF
Export large-type cue cards for the actual moment — no phone required at the podium.
On-device intelligence
On iPhones with Apple Intelligence, Toast can polish a draft’s flow, shift its tone, or tighten it to a target time. Every suggestion lands in a review screen with the changes highlighted, and nothing touches your speech until you tap Use This.
Private by design
Fully local, no permissions requested, no recording of audio in v1 — rehearsal takes are timed, not recorded.
