Terms of use

What this site is, what you may do on it, what a free mock-up or teardown is, and how to tell us about a problem.

Updated: October 17, 2026

These terms cover your use of zossoz.com, the website of Zossoz, Inc. ("Zossoz", "we", "us"), based in Miami, Florida. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

What this site is

zossoz.com tells you about our work: websites for South Florida small businesses, and iPhone and iPad apps too. It also holds a free library of guides, tools and games, and a blog.

Nothing on this site is an offer you can accept by clicking. A website project begins only when you receive a written quote, and both sides sign an order form. The plans described here are summaries. The agreement you sign sets out what a plan includes.

Using the site

You may read the site, use its forms to make a real request, and use the free guides, tools and games for your own purposes.

Please do not:

  • break the law, or use the site to harm anyone;
  • send information that is false, or details about another person that you have no right to share;
  • send us card numbers, bank details, health information or government ID numbers;
  • copy the site in bulk with a robot or script, or collect its content to republish;
  • try to get past the site's security, overload it, or send it spam;
  • use the forms to advertise to us.

What you send us

When you use a form or write to us, you tell us you are allowed to share what you send. You keep whatever belongs to you. You give us permission to use what you send to do what you asked: reply, make your mock-up, write your teardown, prepare your quote. How we handle personal details is in our privacy policy.

Until we have signed an agreement with you, what you send us is not confidential unless we have agreed in writing that it is. Please do not send anything you need to keep secret.

Free mock-ups and teardowns

A free homepage mock-up is a picture of what a homepage for your business could look like. We make it from what is already public on your Google profile and website. It is not a finished website. A free teardown is a written list, from a person who read your site, of what to fix first. Findings are about the website only, and they are our opinion.

Both are free and carry no obligation. Neither promises any result for your business.

A mock-up or teardown is our work. You may share it with people who help you decide. Please do not publish it, or use it as your website, unless we have agreed in writing. If your mock-up shows a photo or a review quote that you want removed, tell us and we will remove it.

Content on this site

The text, designs, code and images on this site belong to Zossoz or to the people who license them to us. You may view and print pages for your own use, and for your own business decisions. Please do not copy, republish or sell them without our written permission.

The demo sites on this site show made-up businesses. Any likeness to a real business is by chance.

ZOSSOZ® is a registered trademark of Zossoz, Inc. The Zossoz logo and our app names are names and marks of Zossoz, Inc. Other names and logos belong to their owners and are used only to identify them.

Some pages show figures for our customers' sites, each with its date and where it came from. They describe what happened on those sites. They do not predict what will happen on yours. Comments from people about working with AJ are shown with their permission. Where a comment came with a benefit to the person who gave it, we say so beside it.

The free library

The guides, tools, games and blog posts are general information and entertainment. They are not legal, financial or health advice. We may change or remove any of them at any time. Check anything important with a professional who knows your situation.

Our iPhone and iPad apps

Our iPhone and iPad apps are sold through the App Store. They are covered by the App Store's terms, by each app's own page, and by each app's own privacy policy. These terms do not change them.

Links to other sites

This site links to other sites, and the websites we build for others link back to us. We do not control other sites and are not responsible for what they say or do. The content of a customer's website is the customer's.

No promises about the site

The site is provided as it is. We do not guarantee that it will always be available or free of errors, or that everything on it is complete or up to date. We do not guarantee any result from using what you read here.

To the extent the law allows, Zossoz is not responsible for losses that come from using the site or relying on it. Nothing in these terms limits any responsibility that the law does not allow us to limit.

Reporting a problem with content

Copyright. If you believe something on this site, or on a website we host for a customer, copies your work without permission, write to copyright@zossoz.com. Please include:

  • your name, address, email address and signature;
  • a description of your work;
  • where the material appears, with enough detail for us to find it;
  • a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not allowed;
  • a statement, made under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner of the work or authorized to act for the owner.

We review each notice, and where it is complete we remove or disable the material promptly. We tell the person who published it, and they may respond. A false notice can have legal consequences for the person who sends it.

A photo of you, or a review quote. If a photo of you, or a quote from a review, appears on a site we run and you want it taken down, write to the same address. We hide it first and ask questions afterwards.

Any other complaint. We acknowledge every complaint within 5 business days.

Accessibility, privacy and cookies

We want this site to work for everyone. If something on it does not work for you, write to hello@zossoz.com and tell us what you were trying to do. We reply to accessibility feedback within 7 business days. Our privacy policy explains what the site collects, including cookies and analytics, and how to opt out of analytics.

Changes

We may change the site, and these terms, at any time. When we change the terms we update the date at the top. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the new terms.

Law and courts

Florida law governs these terms. A lawsuit about them or about your use of the site must be brought in the state or federal courts in Miami-Dade County, Florida, and you and we agree to those courts.

If you become a customer

When you sign an order form, the written agreement controls the work we do for you. These terms still apply to your use of this site.
