What it is
The mock-up is one page: your homepage, designed in a look that suits your kind of business. It is a picture of how your business could appear online, not a finished, working website. Think of it as the sketch an architect shows you before anyone pours concrete.
The design is chosen to fit what you do. A cafe on Calle Ocho should not look like a law office, and a South Beach nail bar should not look like a plumbing company.
What is on it
The mock-up shows your name, your reviews, your services and your photos, laid out the way a real homepage would be. It does not show your address or hours. Those are for the real site, where they will be checked with you.
Everything on it comes from what is already public about your business, so you do not have to prepare anything.
Why we start with the homepage
The homepage is where most visitors land, and it is the page that tells people whether they are in the right place. It is also much easier to react to a picture than to a description. Most owners cannot say what they want a website to look like. Almost all of them can say, in two seconds, whether a homepage feels right.
If the look is not right
Say so. There are 25 designs we work from, and the first one we pick is our best guess for your kind of business, not a verdict. If it feels too fancy, too plain or too loud, tell us what you would change and what you have seen that you like. That is exactly what a mock-up is for.
What you can decide from it
- Does the look fit your business?
- Is the first thing a visitor reads the right thing?
- Are the services listed the ones you want to be known for?
- Do the photos make you proud, or do you want to replace some?
- Would a customer know what to do next?
What happens after you see it
If you like it, reply and we talk about building the full site, from $249 a month for Launch. If you do not, that is fine and you owe us nothing. Either way, you now have a clear idea of what a site for your business could look like, which is useful even if you build elsewhere.
The mock-up is for restaurants, salons and barbershops, trades and repair, shops, professional services and studios, and for businesses that have an old site they are not happy with.
A note on privacy
The mock-up is made from public information, and your contact details are used only to send it and to reply. We never sell them. If you want to read exactly how details are handled, the privacy page spells it out.
