Auto-detect the likely cipher type, run frequency analysis and index of coincidence, brute-force what can be brute-forced, and score the result for English plausibility.
Puzzles with teeth
Five difficulty levels from Easy to Diablo, daily challenges with streak tracking, themed packs, and stats, achievements and mastery tracking behind them.
A vault with real encryption
AES-256-GCM, unlocked with Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode, organised with folders, tags and search. The key is generated on your device and never leaves it.
OCR for ciphertext in the wild

On-device intelligence
On iPhones with Apple Intelligence, CipherKit can explain what a cipher is doing, write a graded hint when a puzzle has you stuck, and generate a fresh puzzle on a theme. It is a toggle in Settings, it runs entirely on your device, and every one of those features has a hand-written fallback that works without it.
Paid once, with an optional Pro
CipherKit is a paid app with no ads and no data collection. CipherKit Pro is available as either a one-time lifetime unlock or a yearly subscription, and the ciphers, the solver and the vault work without it.
Private by design
Works fully offline. No account, no cloud sync, no analytics, no servers storing your data. Camera and photo access are used only for OCR, and only when you ask.
