Road Trip Logbook

Mile Marker Help

Help with logging stops, miles and moods on a road trip, and turning the drive into a printed zine.

How do I start a trip?
Create a trip with a name, the dates, a cover color and the people along for the ride. Then log stops as you go. The composer is built for one-handed use from the passenger seat.
What can I put in an entry?
A few words, a photo from your library or camera, a mood stamp, a place, an odometer reading and a time. All of it is optional, so a quick stamp on its own is a valid entry.
How are my miles counted?
Enter the odometer reading when you log a stop, and Mile Marker totals the trip's distance along with days, entries and places. Switch between miles and kilometers in Settings. Your logged readings are not changed when you switch.
Does Mile Marker track my location all the time?
No. It uses your location only when you tap Use Current Location on an entry, and the app works fully without it. Entries that have a place appear on the trip map.
What is the Zine?
A printable PDF keepsake of the whole trip, with a cover, a section for every day, your photos and stamps, the route map and a closing page of trip stats. You can share a sample for free. The full zine comes with the one-time Mile Marker Zine unlock, which has no subscription. On iPhones with Apple Intelligence it can also draft a short intro for each day.
Can I share a trip with a friend?
You can send the trip as a file. The person who receives it needs Mile Marker to open it.
What is free?
Unlimited trips and entries, photos, the map, stats, stamps, the widget and Siri are free. The unlock is only for the full printable zine.
How do I restore my purchase?
Open Settings in Mile Marker and tap Restore Purchases while signed in to the Apple ID you bought with.
