Exif Remover Help
Answers about scanning photos, removing hidden data and getting the most out of Exif Remover.
- What is hidden in my photos?
- Photos and videos can carry the location where they were taken, your camera or phone model, the exact time, and in some cases labels showing that AI was involved. Exif Remover shows each finding in plain language, so you can see what a file reveals before you share it.
- How do I remove it?
- Pick the photos or videos, review the report, and tap Clean. Exif Remover removes the metadata without re-saving the picture, so there is no quality loss, then scans the cleaned file again and shows before and after side by side. Save it to Photos or share it from there.
- What is free?
- Scanning and the full report are free and unlimited. Your first three photo cleans are also free. After that, cleaning needs Exif Remover Pro, a one-time purchase with no subscription.
- What does Pro include?
- Cleaning larger batches, stripping videos, the Clean & Send share sheet option, cleaning in place from inside Photos, the Shortcuts action, and the option to replace the original in Photos. Scanning stays free.
- How do I clean a photo from another app?
- Tap Share in the other app and choose Clean & Send. The metadata is removed before the photo goes anywhere. If it is not in your share sheet, scroll to the end of the row, tap More, and switch Exif Remover on.
- Can I clean a photo without leaving the Photos app?
- Yes. Open the photo in Photos, tap Edit, then the extensions button, and choose Clean Metadata. It cleans the photo in place, so you do not end up with a duplicate.
- Does Exif Remover upload my photos?
- No. It has no account, makes no network connections, and everything happens on your device.
- How do I restore my purchase?
- Open Settings in Exif Remover and tap Restore Purchases while signed in to the Apple ID you bought with.
- How do I contact support?
- Email support@zossoz.com. If a photo did not clean as expected, tell us the file type (for example HEIC or JPEG) and your iOS version. A person replies by email.
